2- part tutorial training

Today Data analytics / data science is among the top growing disciplines around the world. The need for
trained professionals is on all time high and will keep on growing. A lot of companies are working
relentlessly to improve and their data analytics programs and usually struggle with data quality issues.

In this workshop participants will learn the fundamentals of data analytics and how we test for data
quality and remedy found issues. If you want to explore the great world of data analytics, this is a
perfect workshop for you.

We will take a hands-on approach to learn how data is gathered, cleansed and modelled. That includes
learning:
 How data analytics projects work and introduction to data pipelines
 Build a sample data pipeline and perform main activities data analysts do across a data pipeline
 Learn to explore data quality issues at different stages
 How these issues are fixed before using data for our data model

We will perform bulk of the activities on google sheets to help participants absorb the fundamental concepts, followed by a quick hands-on coding exercise repeating the same steps (you can follow along, if you don't have coding knowledge).

Key learnings:
 Hands on exposure into the "9 to 5" of a data analyst / data scientist
 Good understanding of basic steps in building a data pipeline
 Hands-on exposure to finding and fixing data quality issues

Technical prerequisites:
 Hands-on exercises using google sheets, coding is not required
 If you want to follow along coding exercise at the end, basic coding exposure will be ‘helpful’.
